Aka Katana

High Elf Artificer/Fighter

A young elf without a name grew up on the streets of Nocturne, a city that takes up just twelve acres of land but whose vertical architecture of up to 12 stories houses a diverse population of 50,000 souls. Though thin and of an elvish lineage, without a family to call his own, he found himself drawn to The Madrak, the district many of the goliath came to live generations prior after being displaced during the Somber Crusade. Their tight-knit groups, constantly fighting in such a confined space, were a place he could belong. He fell in with some of the gangs that operated throughout the Nocturne, the City of Secrets, and polished his skills as a street ruffian with a knack for learning things quickly. He was given the name Aca by a local crime boss; In Alberon, an "aca" is essentially a taco-like food with more of a soy/ginger lean than chipotle or cumin. After learning of his name's meaning, Aca asked his friends to call him "A.K." instead.

Aca picked up a secret of his own while stealing something for his boss. This event led Aca to fear his circumstance in Nocturne, and so he said his good-byes and departed not just Nocturne, but the Kingdom of Serentyl as a whole. After taking a ship from Nocturne, he crossed two oceans to reach the other side of the continent of Dominion, in the city of Dungannon. There, he sought out those who might help him understand his new secret. This led him to a group known as the Dungannon Antiquities Collective.

They took him in, though not without dissent amongst the various agents of The Collective, but with strong backing from the organization's newest leader, known only as Mr. Gift, he applied his ability to learn quickly and caught the eye of an old dragonborn named Takkax. Takkax saw that Aca had a gift for learning, and knowing that she was drawing into the later years of her own life, taught him the techniques of the now-extinct Fazzarakian Skaald, a dragonborn empire that had nearly spanned the world at the start of the Third Age.

Our group encountered Aca as he tracked a particular wand into the hands of a cult, intent on using it as part of a ritual. Though they got off to a rocky start, Aca has accepted a contract (provisionally) with the emerging heroes known as The Finger Gang as they attempt to re-forge The Staff of Twisted Fates.

Notable Items

Origami Bird Homunculus - Aca has crafted a small servant that he primarily utilizes as a way to correspond with the Collective.
