Uncovered Backstory
Elanor Windright is a fictional character who grew up in a family that had done well through ownership and operation of the Sweetwind, an extremely successful trade ship. She grew up learning the trade, and by a young age was a more capable captain that many others who had spent a lifetime at sea.
She grew restless, and felt herself more trapped than set up for success. Elanor convinced her parents that it would be good for her to serve with different crews to gain experience; enter Brida Dawnkeeper. The charismatic half-orc was a role model and senior officer for a time, and all the while used her charm to keep Elanor from looking too closely into the cargo.
When an item that Elanor could not turn a blind eye to found its way onto the Wild Affair, Elanor betrayed her crew to the Three Tide Accord, and fled. Brida broke out, and led a coup (with the help of Ziesstriess) to take over the Jade Exchange, a hot spot of criminal activity in Nocturne.
The group confronted Brida Dawnkeeper, and ultimately put her to soil. Many of Elanor's friends for the last segment of her life are now dead. Elanor found herself swept up in the Fatechanger's quest, and fought with them in Kalipsos to vanquish Ziestriess.
