Campaign III in a ten-part connected D&D saga.
The setting of our third D&D campaign is a sprawling landmass of misty rainforests, massive canyons, and dangerous beasts called Mythalstrean. From the basalt-laden city-state of Searwynd to the numerous metropolises carved in marble of the Anacrean Alliance, the entire region resists civilization (and darker) influences through the Spirit of Mythalstrean, a powerful force that takes tangible form to protect the continent's wild places.
When a group of settlers landed upon the shores of Mythalstrean, they struggled to survive against the challenges the Spirit places in their way. Many perished before twelve surviving families forged a deal with Asmodeus, Lord of the Hells, for the power they needed to survive and thrive in the jungles and coasts: the Twelve Gems each granted their bearers incredible power, and allowed civilization to take hold but slowly most were lost to time and history as darker and more immediate threats loomed.
The Misfits are a group of childhood friends from Mistridge who left to begin their own journeys outside of their small hometown. When Serax, the heart and soul of the Misfits, suddenly passes, the friends are reunited for a funeral laced with mystery... and find that Serax's interest in the history of their home may be connected to a larger scheme!
